If you found this site early, here’s the honest picture of where things stand and where they’re headed.
WoodScraps runs on two levels. On the video side, you’ll see three tracks: CNC and digital fabrication, my daughter Maddy learning the fundamentals from scratch, and old-school hand-tool work with a modern twist layered in. On the business side, that content feeds into three things working together: real builds shared honestly, including the mistakes; digital plans for the pieces I make, so you can build them yourself if that’s more your speed; and finished pieces available to buy, made to order, with local pickup and delivery for anyone in the Twin Cities metro area.
Right now, the site’s still coming together. Videos are filmed and in the pipeline but not published yet. The store is being built out piece by piece. What you’re seeing here first is the writing: the story, the process, the thinking behind how I build things.
If you want to know when something actually goes live, whether that’s the first video, the first plan, or the first product, the best way is to follow along on YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram. You can also subscribe right here to get an email as new content drops.
Thanks for showing up before there was much to see yet. That means something.
